taking mental photos. the burning in, the remembering of a face. unknown sensations, pushing my limits, finding that surreal place between reality and what else even exists? words said: “why does it feel so good?”, with the backdrop of a new place coloring the experience. high up on the hill, underneath stars, cats wailing, a grainy chocolate, an embrace. “since we met yesterday". the closest i’ve felt out of body, gone from self. i was tripping from the moment the words fell. how to begin to explain, to understand, a stranger connection. how it fills a space. how time no longer has a tangible place. blood pumping through me like never before, i came open. walking the deserted dirt road in the early morning. what to make of it all? how does this fit in? taking time to consciously steep, to soak, myself. eyes open wide. the steam rising. in my bed, in my room in the forest, alone is where i’ll begin to let it sink in.
